Summer Fun 2012

Just a quick update to say I'm here, having fun, and surviving the summer heat!  I am really enjoying my summer at gymnastics camp.  We get three outings a week (Monkey Joes, movie and bowling) and then usually have a water day/play in sprinklers thrown in.  A couple friends from my old daycare have even come for a couple of weeks.  I greet all my counselors with HUGE hugs every morning and I'm learning how to use the gymnastics equipment.  Mommy & Daddy are getting good practice at making lunches and making sure I get breakfast every morning (at daycare breakfast & lunch were provided for 4 years).

We had a rough couple of weeks in June.  I got the stomach flu going around.  Thankfully it was a fast 24 hour bug, but then Daddy caught it and spent the weekend in bed.  After the flu Mommy and I caught a summer cold that just wouldn't go away. I ended up getting an ear infection, but thankfully some of the pink bubblegum medicine took care of it.  Mommy said she has only had to take 5 sick days since I was born for me....2 of which were this month!  Thankfully the Hare household seems to be back to normal.

The summer is zooming by.  Less than 7 weeks until I start Kindergarten!  I'll let the pictures share what we've been up to on the weekends....

Mommy and I really enjoyed this movie - isn't the movie poster great?!
I really enjoy checking out books from the library.  Mommy says it is nice to see in this technology age.
I am chasing squirrels at Mommy's work - it is often said that kids and dogs aren't that different....

Daddy's been traveling a lot so Mommy and I sneak out to dinner when he is gone.  We enjoyed a RARE cool day and had a pizza dinner outside.
Discovery Center has some neat exhibits.  I spent 10 minutes explaining why I wouldn't go on this lifting chair and then you couldn't get me off it once I actually tried it.
Hanging with friends at Carowinds
We invited the Myers to join us at Carowinds for Father's Day.  Aleksei and I plotted our afternoon strategy while the adults bought lunch.
I won a prize for my hat at camp
In an effort to beat the heat we found an indoor mini golf!  Mommy likes it because it is right near Texas Roadhouse so it's a good excuse to go out to lunch.
Fort Mill hosted a marching band competition.  We watched teams from PA, TX, Iowa & of course Fort Mill.  It was REALLY good and Fort Mill won!
Annual 4th of July Tega Cay Parade.  Got to high five a Charlotte Bobcat.
Tega Cay had the water slides again - so much fun!

At camp we have a song for the 5 year old group.... My counselors taught me the Cha Cha slide... Discovery Center had a camera so you could pretend to be a critter and it was delayed so I could watch myself on tv....
