Christmas 2011

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas - I know I sure did.  Christmas when you are 5 is AWESOME!  My parents said they can't believe it will be anymore fun in the future.  I was really well behaved, loved all my gifts, and just enjoyed being with my family.

We kept really busy in December.  Mommy said we really shouldn't do anything unless it was related to Christmas.  It sure wasn't hard to find things like that around town - Santa, Fort Mill Christmas parade, singing bears, and so much more.

I also fit in my annual check-up to the doctor.  I weigh 38 lbs (10th percentile), I am 43", and I could see the eye chart better than mommy could with her contacts!  I could do without the finger prick that tests for iron!

For the past 10 days I've enjoyed having mommy & daddy home with me.  It is going to be very hard for all of us to return to work and school.  We've done a lot of relaxing and a lot of playing.  I had a few playdates with friends and spent 2 nights playing with Aunt Lizzy, Gramma & Grampa.  I don't know how Aunt Lizzy will be able to sleep now that I'm not there to give her 2:45am snuggles.

Enjoy the pictures....

One last visit to Santa just to make sure he knows I want bad guy transformers & battleship like my cousin has
Santa came around on a fire truck at Gramma & Grampa's
Tree mazes are so fun (mama said most people would call this a tree lot - what does she know?!)
I love to cut the netting off the tree
I sure do love to decorate the tree
I found all my singing animals - the moose is still my favorite
Frosty!
Writing my name on the nice list - I made sure to write it big so Santa would see it
We found singing bears!  This must be the practice group for the ones we see downtown
Mailing my letter to Santa (1 - Bad guy transformers 2 - battleship like my cousin has 3 - construction set)
I would go shopping all the time if every store had these carts - the horn even worked!
Class fieldtrip to meet Ms. Claus & make christmas crafts.  Mama said Mrs. Claus must have really good doctors.
Candy cane hunt during the field trip
We finally made it to Christmastown.  Thanks to mama's coworker, we found a backway in and avoided the 2+ hour traffic to see the pretty lights
McAddenville lights
Mailing another letter to Santa to make sure he knows I want bad guy transformers & battleship like my cousin has
There are some strange people Uptown
Our annual trek to the singing bears - yet again I ran into someone from my school
My advent calendar is complete - tomorrow is Christmas!
I showed my true boy colors by using the pirate cannon I got in last year's advent calendar to shoot and kill the animals from this year's advent calendar
My annual gingerbread - mama said the village made of FIVE buildings was a little more than she bargained for
Leaving out cookies for Santa
Santa came!
Battleship - just like my cousin has!

This spongebob dvd game is so cool
Thanks Grammy - I sure do love legos!
I can't believe Gramma gave us underwear
Whoa - the last gift is HUGE
I think my family liked the gift as much as me (a huge tub of Imaginext sets mommy bought from a local mom)

Making cornbread for Christmas dinner - yum!
Doesn't every Christmas parade need an Elvis?!
We got to see the Fort Mill band that marched in the Macy's Day Parade without having to get up at 4am and find a spot on a NYC street

Christmas 2011

My last Christmas pagent with my daycare.

We spent an evening driving around looking at Christmas lights.  We found these fantastic light displays within 5 miles of our house!

The best one....
My second favorite....
The lights aren't as good, but the song is awesome....
