Thanksgiving 2011

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  I was lucky enough to get to visit Hilton Head.  If you are looking for a laid back beach vacation I can highly recommend Hilton Head.  It turns out this place is only 4 hours from us.

Aunt Lizzy & Mauro flew in from Boston and were happy(?) to entertain me.  I sure do love the Ipad Aunt Lizzy always brings with her.  Though I hear she had to scrape a little of my breakfast eggs off when she left.  And I am now worried that Angry Birds and Zombies are going to find me when I sleep. Maybe I need to spend a little less of my downtime fighting birds and zombies on my next vacation.

We lucked into some really nice weather while we were there and we were able to spend most of our time outdoors.  One of our favorite activies was riding bikes.  We were able to ride to 2 mini golfs and a breakfast place.  My daddy thinks the 6 miles of biking a day made up for all the calories in the big omlette he ate.

We were lucky enough to have our lifelong friends the Formaneks join us.  They rented a house a short bike ride away from us and were kind enough to have us over to eat several times.  Their granddaughter Julia and I sure had fun thinking up all kinds of trouble fun.  We kept them hoping while we were there so they are probably enjoy some much needed rest time now that we have left!

Enjoy the pics...

I made Thanksgiving shortbread because I know Mauro loves it.  Despite my heavy hand with the sprinkles there were none left to bring home.
Julia & I were instant friends
The pool was heated - bonus!
Daddy and I went in the ocean every day.  We seemed to be one of the few on the entire beach.....maybe because the air temps were only in the high 60's?!
Can you believe I am the same kid who hated the beach 4 short years ago?
I made a sand city one day.  Unfortunately Aunt Lizzy's sand house got taken down by a tornado
Julia taught me how to play Newfie Golf
Very disappointed that I didn't like pumpkin pie.  I was so sure I would like it.
The mini golf had some fun decorations
We biked over to the Disney timeshares
I found Santa during one of my bike rides!
Enjoying a dinner at the Mellow Mushroom with Aunt Lizzy & Mauro
I picked up Julia in the Colemobile one day to visit the playground
I flew my first kite!
Teaching Julia how to play mini golf
This was the hardest mini golf I have ever played - have you ever seen water holes like this on a mini golf course?
Those Canadians sure know how to make a great Thanksgiving feast - thanks again for all your hard work!
We put a lot of miles on these bikes

5th Birthday

It's official - I am FIVE!  A lot of big things will happen this year.  I'll learn to read.  I'll say goodbye to my daycare friends who I have been with for 3 years to attend big boy school in August.  Yup, 5 is going to be fun!

I got to have my first friend party this year.  20 friends came over to play and watch a magic show.  It was a GREAT time.  Grandma even put a magic candle on the cupcakes that kept relighting itself.  Even she was surprised as she didn't know she owned such a candle!

On my actual birthday we enjoyed another yummy dinner at Chop Chop.  We got a GREAT cook who put on quite a show.

It's been a busy month.  It's a birthday season at daycare since all of my friends have birthdays within 3 months of each other.  I feel like we get to go to a different party every weekend - it sure is fun!

Enjoy the pics....
We got Captain America to fly really high (thanks Aunt Lizzy)
Setting up for my party
"Decorating"
Waiting for the guests to arrive (or as Mommy said - the calm before the chaos)
The Magician put a GREAT show
I don't know how I did it but I got to help levitate the table for the finale
Having fun with my friends during my party
My BFF's - Eva and Everrett - terrible picture but Grandma made the cupcakes and they turned out great!

I don't like the noise but I love the game
I got to visit a farm where a friend works - they raise goats, pigs, cows and chickens.  I had no fear of the goats
The egg machine fascinated me
