October 2010

It has been a terrific month and I'm sorry to see it end. But my birthday is only a week away so I guess November will be pretty good too!

All my daycare friends are having birthdays (we're all born within 3 months of each other) so I seem to spend every other week at a local bounce house celebrating their birthdays. I told Mommy I just wanted "toys and cake" so no big party for me. I think we're going to do some fun things around town instead which sounds great.

A highlight this month was Grampy Doug & Grammy Shirl stopped by for a visit! Poor Mommy feels so bad that she didn't take a picture of the visit. I made sure to show them all my athletic skills like golf and baseball. I hope they stop back by this way again.

Grandma & Grampa returned and you probably heard my screams of happiness when I saw them at the door. I even got my first sleepover in - though...they haven't invited me back for a second one - was it that bad?!

Tonight we had perfect weather for trick o treating. I was so excited to hand out candy I was very insistent that I didn't want to go TOT. However, after a few houses I kept asking for "one more street!"

There are a lot of pics so I'll let them show you what I've been up to this month....

I'm a dragon - ROAR - (this was the best pic Mommy could get)
Resting up for trick o treating..... (first nap in months)
I loved trying the games at Carowinds
I beat Grampa in a ball rolling game and I got to pick any prize I wanted - I am so excited with my yellow banana - I wouldn't even put him down to eat lunch
One last visit with Snoopy before Carowinds closes for the winter
Enjoying the fall festival near Grandma & Grampa's house - I had a great time navigating this car through the obstacle course. I also impressed the fire fighters with my "stop drop and roll" song my teacher taught me.
It's not Halloween until I've made my pirate pumpkin
Mommy says it is getting harder to get me to sit still for pictures - I cut out all the parts on my pumpkin with only a little help
Finding new friends at the downtown Fort Mill trick o treat event
Dressed up for my daycare Halloween party (Mommy thought the dragon costume was a little hot for school)
Our annual visit to the Riverbanks zoo
Washing Daddy's car for the first time - it was really fun - shhh - don't tell - I don't want to do it ALL the time
I really enjoyed making Halloween cookies. Mommy however did not like the fact I was so excited to make cookies I woke up at 5am!
Mommy said this would have made a great Halloween card. Unfortunately, she ran out of time this year - oh well - I told her most people don't use snail mail anymore anyways
Finding my way through the corn maze. Good thing I was there - Daddy had no idea where to go
They had pony rides at a local greenway - I convinced my parents that because it was only $2 I should go around twice
I hear cornhole is really popular in the south - I need to start practicing now for my future tailgating parties
Toy Story On Ice was REALLY good - I even ran into one of my daycare pals during intermission
Carowinds has a small Halloween section right now - I'm sad that the park is closing on Halloween for the season - we've already renewed our passes for next year!
Grandma found a silly pumpkin - it had green freckles
The slides were terrific!
I was REALLY picky - I just knew the perfect pumpkin was out there somewhere
Making Rice Krispies for the first time - I really was only interested in seeing how many marshmellows I could get away with eating
