Happy 4th of July 2010
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July - it was full of ups and downs for me since I don't like fireworks and they were booming every night! It took most of the week but I am caught up on all the sleep I missed while being concerned by the loud boom!
I participated in my daycares annual 4th of July parade. My new teachers - Ms. Vicki & Ms. Donna had us present a program ahead of the parade for the parents. We memorized 5 songs, but on the day of the performance not very many of us actually sang!
On Saturday I got to see the Tega Cay parade and then went to a kid's carnival nearby. Sunday was Carowinds of course and then those dreaded fireworks.
Mommy had to work on Monday (first 4th of July weekend she has worked since college) so Daddy & I had a blast bouncing at Monkey Joe's.
Other than that we've just been trying to avoid the Charlotte heat (100 today). Last weekend we went to Nickolodean on Stage and it was terrific. I saw Dora, Wonder Pets & the Backyardigans. So much fun.
Enjoy the pics and videos....
Don't be fooled - I was NOT enjoying this sparkler - I kept saying "I WANT TO GO INSIDE"
They convinced me to come outside again - it was too loud
I enjoyed the fireworks MUCH better inside
No parade is complete without Homer
The cow is back
I can't believe Tyrone was in the parade!
Sir Panther rode a motorcycle and stopped to do a dance
I got to meet Spiderman!
I LOVED the marching band even if I thought it was a little loud
We found Snoopy & Charlie Brown from Carowinds at the Children's carnival!
A bounce house for small kids -finally - no worries about getting trampled
I tried this slide SEVERAL times - it was terrific!
We were all happy to stand there, but very few of us had the nerve to sing
Annual 4th of July daycare parade - first time in 3 years it wasn't hot
I couldn't stop for pictures, I had to stick with my class
A glimpse at the teen years?
Backyardigans on stage!
The only video where I actually said something....
I made this makeshift stage myself!.....
Joy, joy, joy, joy......(I attend a Christian preschool if you are wondering how a 3 year old chose this song to memorize)
I sang this song A LOT in the days leading up to my school performance - my parents are still shocked how much I memorized and think my three year old "lipth" is so cute....
Our class song....105ers ROCK
