Halloween 2009

It has been a very rainy month as we geared up for Halloween. But that didn't stop me from enjoying the events around town. Highlights included a pumpkin patch, last visit to Carowinds, and of course Trick Or Treating.

My biggest news is that I am now sleeping in a big boy bed! I crawled out of my crib twice in one day so my parents made a very fast change of my room. Down came the crib, up came the bed. It has been an easy transition as I seem to have no issues sleeping in a real bed. I don't even realize I can get off the bed and play with toys. Instead, I sleep when I am supposed to and call for Mommy & Daddy when I wake up in the morning and wait patiently on my bed.

I am happily telling everyone that I will be three on Saturday. Can you believe I will be three?! I wonder what three year olds do? Maybe I'll finally be big enough to run with scissors, drive the car, and pour my own milk. We will be having "chop chop" of course on my birthday. I can't wait!

My first time on the jets. It took me a couple of tries to actually figure out how to get the plane in the air

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to play t-ball in a couple years. I think I'm going to need a real pitcher!

Road Trip 2009

I cannot believe my 2 week roadtrip is already over. I sure was happy to get to "Cole's House" though. I played with EVERY toy I own within 30 minutes of being home! 18 hours is a long time to sit in a carseat. I don't understand why "Cole out" was ignored. Something about it was illegal and tickets if I didn't sit in my seat. I have say that West Virgina has the worst rest areas and Residence Inns have the yummiest breakfasts.

A huge thank you to everyone who played with me, allowed me to rearrange items in their house, and fed me on this trip. I sure had a blast.

I finally got to meet "my cuzins" who were just as fun as I had hoped they would be. My favorite activity with them was "tackling" them while playing soccer and having Tori take me on a wagon ride.

I had fun showing off all my athletic skills for Grammy and ate my first pork chop at Aunt Connie's house. Aunt Chris bought me my new favorite jammies that I insist on wearing almost every night. Gotta show off my Red Sox pride!

I also got to visit New Hampshire and see where Grammy Shirl and Grampy Doug live. I don't know why their cats wouldn't come play with me. I only chased them because I wanted to say hi. Their restaurants have playgrounds outside so I am happy to go out to eat with them anytime!

We had a quick visit with Daddy's friend Steve, Karen and their two boys (Aaron & Cameron). Mommy forgot to take pictures, but I swear we saw them. While it was a short visit, it was just long enough for Mommy to kick a ball at Cameron's head.....I don't think they will ever let her live it down.

I had a great time enjoying the rocks and beaches in Maine. I don't think Grampa has been on the rocks that much in years. Searching for crabs, seaweed and the perfect rocks took up most of my time. I got dragged shopping and out to eat a few times with Grandma & Mommy. They think I don't know, but I know Daddy and Grampa snuck away golfing during that time.

We visited the Crayola Factory on our way home and I had a great time trying all of their art stations. Too bad we ran out of time to visit the chocolate factory. We ended our trip with a quick visit with a co-worker of Daddy's. They were good sports letting me use their magnify glass to be a detective.

I sure wish everyone lived closer to me, but at least I can visit them on vacations. Enjoy the pics.

I loved my "motorcycle" from Grammy. I even learned how to peddle while I was visiting her (video is below). I'm going to try it out on the hill outside my house later today. I wonder if the lack of bakes will be a problem?

I spent a lot of afternoons playing ball with Reba. I don't know why she started avoiding me when I called "Reba where are you" for the 100th time!

I enjoyed floating the same boat my Cousin Chris did when he was a little boy

I was very concerned that the bands around the lobsters' claws would break since I know that lobsters "pinch pinch"

We found a local orchard to get in our annual Apple Picking. My parents ended up with A LOT more apples than we needed because I was having so much fun picking apples and they didn't want to stop me.

Why do they put me through this silliness? Are they trying to ensure I grow up to hate shopping?

We spent a morning at a place called Ocean Point. I had so much fun throwing rocks in the "ponds" on the rocks.

I enjoyed checking out the snail shells until one popped out of its shell in my hand!

I made it up to the big rock. I was cautious of the "big waves" that made a lot of noise up here.

Learning how a boat travelled in the olden days. I got to put the boat through locks and over bridges (there was a museum attached to the Crayola factory)

Mommy and I made paper puppets. Let's be honest, I just wanted to use the scissors.

My new friends - Lonnie & Betty (Daddy used to work with Lonnie). I hope we get back to visit them soon so I can show them my mini-golfing skills
