April Fun

Hi Everyone!

April sure was busy and I have had such a hard time deciding which pictures to post. You've probably heard that my latest passion is "bolfing". I think I may be the next Tiger Woods in training because I ask to play golf for hours at a time. Daddy even bought me 2 real clubs because the plastic ones just weren't cutting it. Too bad I can't take lessons until I'm 6!

My biggest news is Bampa & Ama (as I now call her) have moved to my town! They are only 10 minutes away by car. I "helped" them unpack this weekend and today I made sure Ama's kitchen cupboards were in order. I love asking to go to "Bampa's new house" and then finding Bampa & Ama there. I've taken them out to eat a couple of times and I've heard they are going to babysit me a few afternoons which will be great fun. They have a GREAT view from their new house of a putting green so I can watch all the golfers putt.

We had a GREAT vacation in Florida before Bampa & Ama moved. I spent 5 days with them while my parents snuck away on a cruise. They think I don't know what they did, but it is okay because I would have much rathered golf than cruise. Aunt Lizzy & her friend Mauro came to visit as well so I had LOTS of attention. Mommy thought it would be cute to teach me "Ciao Mauro". It backfired though as I started referring to Mauro as just "ciao" and even now I refer to a book they bought me as the "ciao book".

My most tramatic day in Florida was Easter morning at the beach. I would have much preferred to join Daddy, Bampa & Mauro golfing. I was very scared of the waves so Mommy took me to get a closer look to show me how nice the waves are. Well a HUGE wave came up to my knees and I was SOOOOO scared. I kept saying "house" "house" "house" and I think if I could have figured out how to strap the beach gear to my back I would have walked home. I don't want to go to the beach again for a long long time.

I was a very good traveler in the car and we only had one meltdown near naptime each way. I think if you expect me to sit in a car for 11 hours then only one meltdown is terrific. Of course, it helped that the Backyardigans & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse were playing constantly on my tv.

My new season of soccer has started. This new class is a little better behaved which I appreciate and I am enjoying it as much as I did the winter session. I'm also begging to go "mini bolfing" as much as we can. May is going to be a big month for me as I move up to the older two's classroom at school. I sure am going to miss Miss Mandy & Miss Courtney, but I've heard a lot of my friends are moving with me. I do hope the biter is going into the other classroom since I seem to be his favorite target!

Enjoy the pics.
When I wasn't golfing, I was enjoying a little game of tennis with Lizzy & Mauro
I helped Mauro with his English by insisting he read to me a lot. Here I'm showing him how fun sticker books can be
Bampa has Backyardigans too!
I learned my lesson after last year, I have to be FAST to beat those 2 year old girls. I filled my bucket with eggs. The favorite egg prize was a yo yo.
I wasn't that impressed with the pool. But I did let Daddy hold me so I could kick and make big splashes
I spent HOURS "bolfing" while in Florida. I even called "miss" and "in da hole" for the other golfers too!
Giving Bampa some pointers
I was ready to move up from the putting green to the driving range mid-week.

Showing Aunt Lizzy how to decorate the eggs

The Easter Bunny came! There were eggs hidden everywhere!

Found another one!
An Italian Easter tradition. Chocolate egg with prize inside.
They had "chop chop" in Florida too!
This picture was pre-waves. Happily building sand castles. I had no idea what was coming.
Aunt Lizzy let me put shells on her while I recovered from the scary waves
Don't be fooled, this picture was after the "big wave". While I was finally convinced to eat lunch, I continued to say "big waves" and "house"
It was a lot harder for me to get the strawberries off this year. You don't think mom & dad pre-picked the ones I "picked" last year do you? What am I fascinated with?
A worm! So much fun to follow him around the driveway
An almost daily occurance, "big wacking" in the front yard. I think Dad is nervous I am going to ruin the lawn.
I think this could be a good one!
Hmmm - that rock was tricky
Lining up for Green light, red light. Note that I am the only one who doesn't need a parent on the wall with me.
Knocking down aliens (cones)

Mom's latest consignment sale find. An Elmo remote control train for $5!

I BEGGED to go on this ride. Daddy warned me NUMEROUS times I'd have to go on by myself, I said "ok" until Daddy walked away. Then I made them let me off. Maybe next year.
This was much safer than those planes...mini-golf. My parents didn't realize that after this game all I would ask to do was "mini bolf". Behind the putting green is the waterpark we'll be visiting all summer....not sure how I feel about that.

VIDEOS of me big wacking. This is the best Mommy could get after numerous tries. I am better than these videos make it seem!
