Two Years Old

Hi Everyone! I turned the big TWO on November 7th. I guess the baby years are behind me because no one refers to my age anymore in months and I'm not free at a lot of places anymore. This month also marks one full year of living in Charlotte. Wow does a year go by quickly! I learned how to talk, how to walk, got my first pair of shoes, started a new daycare and more. Take a look at October & November 2007 to remember what I was up to last year. I was surprised to see that I was wearing short sleeves. It is already REALLY cold here (below freezing at night) so I guess winter is arriving early.

Grandma & Bampa arrived just in time to celebrate my birthday. Grandma even made Backyardigan cupcakes for me to take to daycare! We got to spend lots of time together because they picked me up from daycare each day while Daddy was away at a conference. It was great fun showing Grandma how to blow bubbles, sweep the driveway and chase the doggy around the house. I hope they get their Florida house sold soon because I want them to visit a lot more.
I learned how to open presents on my birthday which makes Mommy nervous. Something about a Christmas tree and lots of packages. Not sure what she is talking about.

I survived my first bout with the flu. It was thankfully only a 48 hour bug so I rebounded quickly. I spent a couple days huddled on the couch with Mommy though.

I had my two year doctor appointment and got a clean bill of health. They are going to keep an eye on my speech though as I guess a lot of girls say 2-3 word sentances by now. I'm 24 lbs 8 oz (10-25 percentile), 34" tall (25 - 50 percentile) and 50 cm head (90-95 percentile).

We're headed to Atlanta for Thanksgiving weekend. I can't wait to visit the Aquarium and I've heard Mommy is going to drag us through IKEA. Then when we return Mommy head's to Las Vegas for a week to attend a federal conference.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Sharing the backseat with Reba
Trying to give Reba my milk

Playing on the swings like the big kids. I no longer want help down the slides.
Ready for the party
I sure do love my Backyardigans
I was able to blow out my candles. Must be all that bubble blowing I do
A year older and still not impressed with cupcakes
Presents from Grammy!
A puzzle!
Making calls on my new phone
Now I can mow the lawn with Daddy!

A few videos....Mommy says it is still really hard to get me to slow down long enough to get a video.

I just learned how to sneak around. I love to sneak up to my stuffed animals. I also seem to think sneaking means I'm invisible....
Stretching and talking....
What does a ghost say?

Halloween

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. I sure enjoyed it. Mommy thought I would want to stay home and hand out candy. HOWEVER, after I realized what fun it was to go up to someone's door and say "boo" I wanted to trick or treat all over. Daddy pulled me along in my wagon and we were out over one and half hours. I cried VERY hard when I had to come home. I didn't want to stop asking for treats! Some people even let me have extra treats because they said I was so cute! Mommy said over 100 kids came to our house. I guess we really do live in an area with lots of kids!

Before Halloween we enjoyed a trip to a pumpkin patch. We rode out into the field, found some pumpkins, played on the slides, visited the animals, and just had a really fun morning.

It is birthday time at daycare. All my friends turn two around the same time. I got to attend a birthday party at Chic Fil-A which was fun, though a little strange to see my teachers outside of the classroom. Only a couple more days until I turn the big 2!

I'm starting to talk a lot more and my current favorite word is "boo". I also say "rough rough" for doggies now. Bampa & Bamma have arrived to spend a week with me before they head to Florida for the winter. Daddy is in Tennessee this week for a conference so Bamma & Bampa are doing daycare pickup. It is so much fun to play with them and doggie every afternoon.

I think that is about it for now. Enjoy the pics...

Heading out on the tractor to the pumpkin field

Testing out pumpkins....this one was a little big

Hmmm....maybe this one.....

There are just too many choices

Meeting the goats

I'm getting so big!

What is in this thing? You don't really expect me to reach in there do you?

Hmmm....well let me try

Don't be fooled by this picture, I would NOT touch the pumpkin guts. Hold the spoon yes, touch guts, NO

Don't you love my pirate pumpkin? ARRRRRRHHHHH

Dressed up as a Red Sox player for my daycare party

All ready for Halloween. I'm dressed as one of my favorite things....a duck!

TRICK OR TREAT (right before I cried because I didn't want to go home yet)

I have a big boy bike now. While my feet don't reach the pedals yet, I LOVE to be pushed on it

Visting Mommy's work. I didn't think their fliers were straight enough so I helped out

My favorite part of work - the water fountain. Did you know you pull a handle and water appears? WOW!
